Benny Bing on display at Artscape Daniels Launchpad
A self-taught artist, Benny Bing first started to paint because he wanted to “have fun with it.”
“I never knew that I would literally quit my job,” Bing says. “It just caught like wildfire.”
So he kept on painting. And as he painted more and more, people started responding.
“Being an artist is not about being alone in your own bubble,” says Bing. “It’s about sharing, helping, mentoring and learning from others.”
In the last few years, Bing’s journey of sharing and learning his craft, helping and mentoring others has taken him from Toronto to solo shows, group exhibitions and private commissions worldwide.
And now, that journey has brought him to the hallway gallery at Artscape Daniels Launchpad.
Bing’s breathtaking #WomenofColour series will be on display through the end of December.
