Looking for a good story to keep you warm this winter? Make sure to visit Storytent, an event hosted by Storytelling Toronto at Artscape Wychwood Barns every Saturday from 11 AM – 2 PM.
The next Storytent takes place on February 2, and will be hosted by Ruth Danziger, local storyteller and puppeteer who has voiced the puppet Annie on Mr. Dressup.
Host and audience storytellers will join voices together to listen and tell stories. Each story to be told is approximately 10 minutes long, and in true storytelling fashion, they are “told,” not read. If you have a story to tell, bring it to the story tent! Folktales, fairytales, legends, true tales, tall tales…whatever you prepare is welcome.
This free monthly event starts in January and will be held at The Stop Farmers’ Market. Look for the red banner of Storytelling Toronto at Artscape Wychwood Barns!
Storytelling Toronto was founded in 1979 by seven storytellers who wanted to encourage the renaissance of storytelling in modern society. The organization is run primarily by volunteers, and supported by part-time staff.
