Artscape Daniels Launchpad is pulling an all-nighter on October 5 for Nuit Blanche, an all-night contemporary art affair that runs from 7pm-7am.
Mønochef will be bringing in a piano to present his Sounds of Toronto interactive art performance.
In Sugar Hall A, Mønochef will be presenting Sound of Toronto, an immersive 360-degree surround interactive art performance in which audiences engage with the sounds of the city.
Gustavo Cerquera Benjumea will be presenting Borrachero in the Commons. Set in contemporary Colombia, Borrachera is a non-linear multi-channel video installation that uses experimental animation to explore the relation between psychotropic plants, crime, and Colombian society.

Boundary conditions / performance assembly, a collective for artists who are investigating the possibilities that exist between performers and audience, will also be performing on site in Sugar Hall B and C. Members, Michael Reinhart, Zev Mair, Magda Vasko and Ian Ball will be performing ART STAR, an interactive performance interrogation of art, longevity, disappearance, where participants create new works of art that compete for prestige and gallery space, or are cast into the scrapheap of history.
Torontonians are invited to participate in an immersive virtual reality experience designed by four Regent Park youth.
With partner Centennial College, four emerging artists from Artscape’s Ada Slaight Youth Mentorship Program will host a participatory virtual reality experience for Nuit Blanche visitors in the Photography Studio, revealing new stories that celebrate the strength and creativity of inner-city communities like Regent Park.

Luxury fashion designer, Karn Goode, will showcase her large-scale fashion illustrations in the Hallway Gallery. After many years in the fashion industry, designer, Karn Goode, has kept her illustrations between family and friends. Thousands of drawings later, she has decided to exhibit them for the first time.
The public can discover other interactive art installations throughout Launchpad, including Weaknesses, a visual typographic projection project by AY Lawson; Compression, a performative piece by Mau Schoettle; Time’s Progress, a mixed media tapestry by Samantha-Jane Ince; Adaptable Atmosphere, an installation of translucent walls of coloured light by Jazmine Yerbury; and a live mannequin showcase featuring Zoba Martin, Narces and Mer Des Dieux designs will also be presented by Blāque Book and Aquarius Mood.
As a first-time participating venue, Artscape Daniels Launchpad joins other art venues along Toronto’s waterfront, including The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery, Harbourfront Centre and the Sur Gallery, making it a must-visit destination.
