Foodies unite for these upcoming markets and events at Artscape Wychwood Barns

Artscape Wychwood Barns is a destination for Toronto food connoisseurs. Every Saturday, year-round, foodies flock to The Stop Farmer’s Market, which gathers food producers, vendors and makers together under the roof of the Barns. This November and December, Artscape Wychwood Barns is hosting even more food-related events. Here’s a round-up of what’s happening:

The 3rd Veg Holiday Market
November 24, 2019
11am – 8pm

For the 3rd year, the Toronto Vegetarian Association is excited to host the Veg Holiday Market – a fully vegan market with gifts that give back! Start the day by pursuing unique cruelty-free wares with your friends and family, attending a veg workshop or two, and staying into the evening to enjoy a delicious treat, fireside, with your favourite seasonal music playing in the background. Tickets are $5.

Toronto’s Chanukah Market
December 1, 2019
10:30am – 4pm

Noshfest, Toronto’s Jewish Food Festival, is hosting a Chanukah Market, a fun day celebrating Jewish food and culture with a holiday twist. This year’s event combines the best of the city’s Jewish food vendors – including Parallel Brothers, Primrose Bagel and Marty’s Pickles – with local artisans selling Chanukah gifts, including Judaica, housewares, jewellery, and more. Guests will nosh on traditional Chanukah treats and other Jewish cuisine, shop for holiday gifts, and enjoy fun musical entertainment, including Rock the Shtetl and Oozakazoo. There will also be cooking demos from Amy Rosen, Carolyn Cohen, and Rooks to Cooks. Tickets range from $0-$10.

What’s on the table? A fundraiser for The Stop

Hosted by the CBC’s Gillian Deacon, What’s On the Table features some of Toronto’s most creative chefs and Niagara’s best wineries, all brought together in celebration and support of The Stop Community Food Centre. Visit over 30 food and beverage stations, dance to music from DJ Me Time, check out an installation from artist Mango Peeler, and stay for our exciting live auction, hosted by Stephen Ranger of Waddington’s Tickets are $325 and go to support The Stop’s critical food access and community-building programs. You will also get a $230 charitable tax receipt in return!
