OVERVIEW: The Toronto Artscape Foundation is looking for a fundraising professional with 4-7 years of experience in managing a portfolio of donors and fundraising events who is passionate about city building and the arts. The successful candidate will report in to the Senior Manager, Institutional Giving & Donor Relations and work closely with the Executive Director, senior volunteers and board members.


Fund Generation (45%)

  • Lead on sponsorships and gifts under $75,000, including developing proposals, crafting benefits and recognition strategies, reporting, and pitching corporations and individuals
  • Lead on creating and implementing an annual supplier campaign to raise a minimum of $25,000
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure regular stewardship of donors

Special Event Management (45%)

  • Manage all fundraising, logistics, administration and reporting for Toronto Artscape Foundation’s annual fundraising events
  • Secure both cash and in-kind support

Board Management & Reporting (10%)

  • Work closely with the Executive Director to prepare materials and reports for Toronto Artscape Foundation Board meetings
  • Accountable for monitoring and maintaining reporting schedules, including financial reporting, and ensuring requirements are met or exceeded
  • Prepare T3010’s and ensure Foundation compliance with CRA regulations


  • Participate in the planning of annual and longer-term fund development strategies
  • Maintain a high degree of motivation, superior work ethic, attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement consistent with the culture of the Fund Development team
  • Be an informed member of the Fund Development team and make creative connections between and among people, events and programs and their associated circles to increase revenue, donor and sponsor bases



  • 4-7 years fundraising experience with formal education in fundraising an asset
  • Past success in creating, launching and monitoring successful fundraising campaigns
  • Understanding of the charitable landscape including CRA regulations
  • Event coordination and execution experience with a proven track record working with senior volunteers
  • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office, experienced in relational databases and/or CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce
