Learn audio, photography and video skills this summer with Digital Media Lab Manager, Casey Johnson through online workshops
Over the summer, Digital Media Lab Manager, Casey Johnson, along with his team of expert Studio Technicians, is continuing to lead numerous (many free!) online workshops on all skills related to digital media. Mixing, audio production, set design, natural light photography, medium format analogue photography and digital photography introductions are just some of the selections designed to offer a taste of what skills you can develop through programming at Artscape Daniels Launchpad’s Digital Media Lab coming when COVID-19 restrictions lift across Toronto.
Casey Johnson worked with his team to come up with a full calendar of offerings. Casey is an interdisciplinary artist with a background in audio technology and analog photography. Before joining Artscape Daniels Launchpad, he worked in a variety of roles related to media production. He brings a unique mix of creative and technical experience to these practical workshops.
Join Casey at his next free workshop on July 6, an Introduction to Audio Production, where he will offer an introduction to the basic elements of sound recording, editing, and mixing. Whether you’re interested in making beats, tracking live instruments, producing podcasts, or recording sound for picture, this workshop will introduce key concepts, technology and best practices. You will learn about microphones, preamps, mixers, digital audio workstations, gain structure, signal processing and other aspects of the craft.
Or if you are looking to boost other digital media skills, keep your eyes on our What’s On calendar for more weekly announcements.
Whether you’re a dabbler or a digital media artist looking to upskill, the calendar of Digital Media Lab workshops can get you started with new, exciting projects this summer.
