With a background as a film and theatre actor and writer, Esther currently works with young people in Toronto neighbourhoods as Director of Illumine Media Project.
Illumine creates and disseminates short narrative films by and for young people about meaningful themes and social justice issues. Esther is experienced in community film production, volunteer engagement, script development and capacity building with young people through the arts. Esther excels in bringing diverse groups together, engaging folks in creative process and reflecting on their work in community contexts.
