Professor Mark Critoph – MC Graphics

I love teaching art and design basics. I’ve spent much of my adult life travelling to museums across America and Europe. Seeing work in museums, galleries, and churches has been a real inspiration! My students know that I didn’t just ‘see it on the history channel or in a book somewhere!’ Best known as a tenured professor at George Brown College. I specialized in Curriculum Development and was manager of new foundation studies.

I am a self-taught Visual Artist; Although my initial training was in typography at OCAD University, I have worked in many other fields aligned to the graphic arts. Printmaking, Painting, sculpture. In recent years, I’ve taken formal education in bookbinding, and greyboard construction with washi (Japanese handmade paper.)

With my many years of service as an AGO docent I can provide Corporate tours, lead discussions and seminars in art history, aesthetics, and trends in contemporary art. I have an extensive background as an instructor, facilitator, and tour guide with the ROM and AGO. I am a certified ATM, Accomplished Toast Master.
