NATURAL DYE
September 14, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

In this workshop, students will explore the process of fabric dyeing using natural dyes. The workshop will cover the basics of how to scour and mordant your fabric, prepare a natural dyebath, and dye using the immersion dyeing process. We will experiment with various types of mordants and fibres to showcase the rainbow of possibilities within a single dye vat. Participants will take away a variety of fabric samples, recipes and a list of resources.
There is a $20.00 material fee included in the workshop price that covers the materials you will need for in-class sample making.
*Please be aware that attending this workshop (201) does not give you open access to the Studio. To obtain unrestricted access to a studio you must complete the hosted ‘Safety Training and Orientation session (101)’ for that Studio.
Members: Course price: $50 + Materials Fee $20 / Non-Members: Course Price: $70 + Materials Fee $20
