As part of the 2023 annual Somali Heritage Week celebration, Midaynta Community Services is planning an event to showcase the best of Somali culture and talent in the city of Toronto. The event which will be named Somali Fest Toronto (SoTo) will provide a platform and a space for Somali entrepreneurs, business owners, and artists to promote their businesses and creative endeavours. It will be at Weston Lions Park featuring performances from Somali musicians and spoken word artists. In addition to the performances, we will also have a variety of vendors comprised of local business owners, restaurants, and authors. Ultimately, this event will be a source of pride of the Somali community in Toronto.
