Supporting Early Childhood Development
This session aims to provide parents with information and practical tips to achieve optimal early childhood development (ECD) and lay the foundation for positive outcomes for children 0-5 years. Topics will include play-based learning, effective discipline methods, enhancing positive behaviours in children, supporting children’s early learning including children with disabilities.
*Parents/Guardians must have a child between the age of 0-5 years old to attend

About the Community-Led Workshop Series:
The Community-Led Workshop Series takes an innovative approach to community development and revitalization, employing local residents to provide workshop programming to members of the community. Through the series of workshop, local Weston residents will have the opportunity to access up to a total of 9 free workshops including: Green Careers with the City of Toronto, Grant Writing for BIPOC Artists, Mom’s Common Connection, BrAIDS for AIDS, Swing by the Kitchen: Sustainable Self-Employment in the Food Sector, Wild Studio, Fostering Children’s Development and Academic Outcomes, Prep to Volunteer and Gain Skills, and Intro to Fabric Marbling.
These workshops will be hosted at Artscape Weston Common from May 2023 – November 2023.
