Miriam Grenville is an artist as well as a textile and industrial designer with a studio at Artscape Youngplace. She is a graduate of OCADU, with honours in textile design. After working in the wall covering industry for 15 years, she began experimenting with large format digital print. Large scale or intimate, Miriam’s work explores the boundaries between foreground and background, and often blurs the lines between art and design. Her work has been exhibited at the Ontario Crafts Council Gallery, The Rooms Provincial Art Gallery, and Art Metropole. She also maintains a community art practice, contributing workshops and participatory events as part of her commitment to community building. She often invites other artists to work alongside her in her studio, and maintains an open door whenever possible. Her work is available through Art Metropole. She lives in the Junction neighbourhood with her three sons.
