Loop Sessions 4

Beat Builders Assemble at Artscape Daniels’ Launchpad’s Digital Media Lab for Loop Sessions Toronto – July 28

Artscape Daniels Launchpad is set to come alive with beatmakers, producers and recording artists as Loop Sessions Toronto takes over the Digital Media Lab on July 28 from 2:30 pm – 10 pm. Part networking event, part creative challenge, both beat builders and music lovers can take part in this unique event.ย

Sign up to be a participant and spend the afternoon making music with other beat builders. For the first portion of the evening, participants have just five minutes to sample the same vinyl, before producing their own track that will ultimately be presented at the beat showcase that is open to the public. Each participant plays a one-minute beat to the audience of enthusiasts.

Loop Sessions Toronto draws inspiration from meet-ups internationally including in Montreal, Vancouver and even as far as Buenos Aires and Brussels. The monthly event is building a community from an art that is often solitary. As participants put their own spin on their sample, they can gain guidance from other members or chat up other enthusiasts from the sidelines.

With the recent finalization of the Digital Media Lab, Loop Sessions Toronto offers a unique opportunity to tour inside the creative production studios as they are activated by local talent. The Photography Studio, VFX Studio, Sound Recording Studio, and Editing Suites are full of cutting-edge tools, equipment and technology that can be utilized by both members and the public year-round.

Developed through extensive consultation with internationally recognized studio designer, Martin Pilchner, emerging and established musicians can produce quality projects at affordable rates, including the 16 hour monthly bundles. They can record an album, edit a music video or even just shoot headshots for promotion for their upcoming tours with the support of expert Studio Technicians.

More than a backdrop, the Digital Media Lab studios will foster the creativity and collaboration that makes the Loop Sessions Toronto community thrive.

While the participant sessions are full, come for the free beat showcase and network with the talent. A cash bar will be on site. See the schedule and get your tickets here.ย
